The First Annual Monterey Bay Jade Festival was dedicated to the memory of Don Wobber, our dear friend and pioneer of Monterey Bay Jade...Thank you!

Our 1st annual jade event, the Monterey Bay Jade Festival (MBJF) on the weekend, 18-20 of May, 2018 was a resounding success. Can't wait to see the improvements next year when we actually have a year to prepare. View pictures from this event in the gallery at bottom of this page.

Monterey Bay Jade Festival

The MBJF was driven by the road closures on the Big Sur Coast. Two long years without our original Big Sur Jade Festival. The 25th Annual Big Sur Jade Festival is on for this year. Read the details HERE. We are excited about the new Monterey Bay Jade Festival and look forward to many years improving the experience at both events.----- FREE ADMISSION TO THE PUBLIC!

Directions

The 1st annual Monterey Bay Jade Festival was held at the historic Custom House Plaza centrally located in the city of Monterey. The event was viewed by many as one of the most successful events of its kind ever held.

A great jazz band complimented the three-day event and attracted a hoard of people, everyone from advanced jade collectors to families discovering the beauty and lore of this beautiful stone.

To the benefit of approximately 50 jade vendors, a magnificently large cruise ship pulled into the harbor carrying some 3500 passengers, many of them making their way to the festival doing what tourist’ do.

The date has been set for the 2nd annual Monterey Bay Jade Festival (June 7-9, 2019) at the same beautiful ocean front location and many vendors have already reserved their attendance.

Thanks to the Board of Directors of the Jade Events Unlimited (Georg Schmerholz, J.C. Buller, Kenny Comello, Mike Burkleo and Rudy Estrada) and the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History and all the volunteers for their hard work in making this event an absolute success.
