The "Ice Fish"
The vein of Jade this comes from is known as the "Ice"vein. It exists underwater under a huge boulder and seldom sees the light of day. I've known of this vein for many years now but because it is so dangerous it scares the heck out of me. Several times over the years I have crawled out of that hole and swore I would never go back. But the color and the brightness of this Jade has drawn me again and again.
The stone is 4.7" tall, 3.1" wide and is .6" thick approx. I drilled a small hole in the Jade and it is mounted on a piece of redwood driftwood. The stone comes off so you can fondle it or use it as a massage stone. The stone spins so you can revolve it on the redwood to find the combination that pleases you. In my opinion, this is the "Best" of the Big Sur Jade as far as color goes. It ranges from a grey-blue to a chromium green and all variations between.
